What this publication is
The Quiet Standard reviews noise cancellation software — nothing else. No headphones, no measurement apps, no thirty-category listicle sprawl. The narrowness is the point: one shelf, one rubric, every number auditable against the methodology.
Who writes it
Pages carry the byline of the Quiet Standard review desk — a small editorial team, not an invented expert with a stock-photo face. We would rather be a transparent “we” than a fictional “Dr. Somebody.” What the desk does is documented verification: reading vendor documentation adversarially, pricing pages included, and printing the date on every fact.
What we do all day
Three things. We maintain the rubric and recompute scores when facts move. We re-verify vendor claims on a schedule — the strip at the top of the site shows the last pass, July 30, 2026. And we run the corrections desk: any reader can dispute any figure at [email protected], and a confirmed error gets fixed with a visible datestamp, not quietly overwritten.
How the bills get paid
Affiliate commissions on some links, declared in full on the funding page — including the detail most sites bury, which is that two of our six reviewed tools pay us nothing and both outscore a tool that does.
