How The Quiet Standard is funded
Affiliate commissions, declared per vendor, separated from the scores by arithmetic rather than by promises.
The model
When a review convinces you to try a paid tool, some vendors pay a referral commission. Those links run through our /go/ directory — never disguised inline — and are marked rel="sponsored" for search engines and labelled for humans in every recommendation box.
The declarations, per vendor
| Vendor | Relationship | Their score |
|---|---|---|
| Krisp | affiliate (Impact network) | 86/100 |
| Adobe (Podcast Enhance) | affiliate route configured; commission status re-verified at deploy | 80/100 |
| NVIDIA (Broadcast) | none — pays us nothing | 79/100 |
| Cleanvoice | affiliate route configured; commission status re-verified at deploy | 78/100 |
| SteelSeries (Sonar) | none — pays us nothing | 74/100 |
| Descript | affiliate route configured; commission status re-verified at deploy | 68/100 |
Read the third column the way we do: two tools that pay us nothing sit above a tool whose links could earn us money. That is not virtue — it is what happens when the score is computed before the recommendation box is written, which is the actual firewall and is documented in the methodology.
What commissions never buy
Not a point on any dimension, not a position in the standings, not a softened limitation list — the pull quote on every review is the tool’s sharpest flaw by house rule, sponsors included. If we ever fail that standard, the corrections desk ([email protected]) applies to us too.
